Aim:

To improve the efficiency of the company especially by eliminating non-value-adding activities and adjusting requests of the job with the competences of the employee.

Objectives:
  • To analyse organizational structure and evaluate suitability, legitimacy and rationality of jobs, and to analyse structure and jobs according to valid legislation.

  • To revise organization chart - the number of levels, organizational units (departmentalization) and internal relations - the flows of information and documents.

  • To evaluate the need of time for accomplishing the work and to review the number of employees performing specific jobs according to standards and benchmarks (if possible).

  • To prepare suggestions in the areas, where the need of change is identified - especially:

    • work organisation
    • departmentalisation
    • organisational structure
    • job design, job specialisation
    • performance evaluation and evaluative criteria

  • To prepare job specification for jobs in newly designed organizational structure.

  • To assess key skills of managers and to prepare their carrier plans and the plans of their personal development, or recommendations for personnel changes, if appropriate

  • To identify and analyse training needs if the organization as the base for preparation the company training plan (for managers and other employees) with the aims:

    • to increase the client orientation of the company (on the external and also internal level) and to improve quality of services continuously
    • to improve communication, team cooperation, and efficiency of the work of teams
    • to improve efficiency of managers by mastering the techniques of situational leadership of subordinates
    • to improve responsibility of staff and to improve motivation of people for performing their tasks especially by smart setting of responsibility and authority, and by fair performance evaluation
    • to optimise the system of education, professional development and also personal development of the staff of the organization
Output: Final report (tables and charts in appendix).

Size: 10 - 150 man-days - depending on size of organization and the range of audit.
